You can deposit money into your Abundance portfolio at any time by making an instant bank payment or a bank transfer.
Instant bank payment
Instant
Instant bank payments can be made without leaving your Abundance account, and the money is available in your portfolio immediately. You can also make an instant bank payment as part of placing an investment, so you don't have to do it in advance.
Instant bank payments (sometimes called 'open banking payments') work using Open Banking to connect directly and securely to your bank account to authorise a transfer. Open banking payments are quicker, easier and more secure than card payments and you don't have to key in your card details manually. Simply select your banking provider from a list and then use your mobile banking app to authorise the payment securely.
To make a deposit via instant bank payment:
Select Manage in the top menu.
Under the Money section you'll find the option to Deposit
Enter the amount you wish to deposit and click 'Next'.
Select Instant bank payment.
Select your banking provider from the list (there are a small number of UK banks that are not part of the Open Banking network)
If you're on a mobile device, you'll be taken to your mobile banking app to authorise the payment. If you're on a desktop device, scan the QR code shown with your mobile device to authorise the payment in your banking app.
Once the payment has been authorised the money will be immediately available in your Abundance account.
Bank transfer

Making a deposit by bank transfer requires you to send money to our client money bank account using either your online banking service, phone banking service, or in branch.
Bank transfer deposits take up to one full working day to be processed and be available in your Abundance account to invest - you therefore need to make a bank transfer before you can invest. If you are depositing to invest in an investment that is nearly full or about to close, particularly if it is over a weekend, then we suggest you make an instant bank payment instead as this can be done immediately as part of making your investment.
You can find our bank details for a deposit by doing the following:
Select Manage in the top menu.
Under the Money section you'll find the option to Deposit
Enter the amount you wish to deposit and click 'Next'.
Select Bank transfer.
This will give you our bank account details to make a bank transfer to, as well as your Portfolio payment reference which you will need to use as the reference on your bank transfer to ensure we can promptly credit your Abundance account once we have received the money.
Once we have received the money we will allocate it your Abundance account and you'll receive an email to let you know the money is available.
